Dancing Sands Distillery dry gin is spice forward with notes of cardamom, coriander, and peppercorns. Balanced with manuka leaves on the nose and almonds for mouthfeel, the gin is double distilled and vapor infused with 8 carefully selected botanicals. It is blended with water sourced from the aquifer that feeds the clearest spring in the world, Dancing Sands Spring.

• Wasabi Gin 200ml

A little bit special, this gin is inspired by the wasabi root that grows locally in Golden Bay. Unlike most wasabi (which is often coloured horseradish), real wasabi root does not have that same searing heat – but rather a clean, earthy finish that is perfectly suited to a navy strength gin.

Nose: Bright, peppery wasabi hits you first, followed by a wave of dried juniper, ground cardamom, with some subtle citrus aromas emerging with time.

Taste: A full, syrupy body is initially sweet, before a building wasabi spice and slightly resinous juniper takes hold, alongside orange rind, creamy almonds and green leaves.  The beauty of this gin is in its long savoury finish delivered by the kelp.

Move over pink gin, Dancing Sands Distillery bottled summer! Fresh strawberries and locally sourced rhubarb are infused with dry gin as a nod to summer nostalgia. Bottled at 37.5% ABV, this is what we call a sippin’ gin!

Dancing Sands Distillery start with fresh strawberries and locally sourced rhubarb, which are candied and then infused with their dry gin. The gin has a lovable sweetness full of candied strawberry notes and a delicate balance with the tartness of rhubarb. The original dry gin layers of cardamom, coriander, and peppercorns still shine through making this gin quite complex. It is aromatic, fresh, and smooth and dangerously drinkable.

Because they are using real ingredients, the colour of the gin will fade over time and sediment will occur. Nature doesn’t stay pink for too long!

Enjoy on the rocks or with a splash of soda water.
